Chris Lytle Defeats Brian Foster

This started out as a typical Chris Lyle fight. Brian Foster seemed like as much of a brawler as Lytle. But then, plans changed!

Foster went for a takedown. He didn’t want to duck any more of Lytle’s haymakers. Well, who can blame him? What’s more, Foster had the youthful enthusiasm to control Lytle on the ground.

But no, he didn’t. Lytle got right back up and wanted more crazy action. Foster decided to get things to the ground again. At the time, that was a good decision. Seconds later, it became a bad decision.

Lytle used his veteran instincts to grab Foster’s leg. Foster pulled a Lesnar and decided to yank it out of danger. As we know, that is the incorrect defense. You need to pull yourself towards your opponent so he doesn’t have any leverage. As Foster generously extended his leg, Chris politely took the opening he was given.

For an instant, it looked like Brian was going to escape. However it was simply that in that moment Lytle had to adjust his grip. And…damn, a leg isn’t supposed to bend that way. Brian’s knee must have popped about a dozen times in the course of two seconds. Poor guy.
