Gleison Tibau Defeats Josh Neer

I loved the first couple of slams executed by Gleison Tibau. There was a nice whipping motion to them. They're great to use because they'll impress the judges, even if you don't follow up with any damage.

In the end, it was a solid ground and pound effort put in by Tibau. However there got to be a lot less pounding near the end of the fight. Josh Neer got to stuffing more takedowns as well. Neer also managed to do a bit of striking from the bottom. Joe Rogan even made a half-hearted case for Neer winning the decision.

Despite Neer's best efforts, he didn't deserve to win the fight. It's a damn shame he's been let go by the UFC. He always puts in a spirited performance, even when he knows he's down on the scorecards. At least he looked better in defeat than Yushi Okami did.
