Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropolous

These two are fairly evenly matched. They both have decent striking. Each man likes to grapple. Neither one of them is known for gassing out. It should be an entertaining match to watch.

Joe Stevenson has evolved in recent fights. He’s finally realized that he can’t win fights while standing up. He’s been able to work his ground game a lot more effectively too. Sometimes it involves a lot of smothering. It works for him because he’s very strong at 155.

George Sotiropolous is very crafty on the ground. He can catch lesser guys in submissions. However he’s probably met his match in Joe Stevenson. George should consider doing more striking than usual. He certainly doesn’t want to be on his back here.

Joe could very easily out-muscle George. Joe should try a ground and pound strategy. Going for a submission might be a waste of energy. At some point, George will tire from having to squirm out of bad positions.

There may not be a finish. One way or another, Joe will likely be the victor.
