Johny Hendricks vs. Amir Sadollah

Johny Hendricks defeats Amir Sadollah
by TKO at UFC 101

After waiting a solid year to return to the octagon, this proved to be a huge disappointment for Amir Sadollah. After all, nobody had really heard of Johny Hendricks. This should have been a great chance for Amir to showcase his skills. He did just that, but it only lasted about 20 seconds. You can insert an additional joke here, if you like.

It’s true that Johny rocked Amir with a solid uppercut. However it looked like Amir was recovering. It’s not like one can stand up from a shot like that in an instant. We should also consider that while Amir was standing up he was getting hit with punches to the back of his head. An injustice was committed. It’s certainly not the first time Big Dan made a bad call. I miss Big John.

At least the match was entertaining before the stoppage. Hendricks must be glad that people know who he is now. Of course, both fighters will need another fight (possibly against each other) to determine where they stand in the welterweight division.

Amir’s loss proved to be a bad omen for team brown-nose. Maybe he should have used his own cup after all…
