Junie Browning vs. Cole Miller

For those who are surprised this fight is on the main card, I would say that you don’t know what this business is all about. Junie Browning did everything possible on TUF8 to be a successful reality star. No, that doesn’t include actually making it to the finals. For him, it was all about putting on a show outside the octagon. It was enough for me to stop reviewing season 8. So, we should all take comfort in the fact that our support of the UFC paves the way for guys like Junie Browning.

As for the match itself, it should be noted that Cole Miller is a decent fighter. He had a decent run on TUF5 before losing a slightly controversial bout to Joe Lauzon. Since then he’s had a few wins in the UFC. Therefore it seems that this match was put together to prove to the fans that Junie isn’t being coddled. That’s a good thing too because Junie still hasn’t backed up all the smack he talked on the reality show.

As much as I hate to say it - Junie is probably going to win this fight. He will look to be aggressive and come out with an impressive stoppage. It’s true that Miller has a great ground game. However if Junie has learned anything from training at Xtreme Couture he’ll look to stay on his feet where he’ll have the advantage.

If Junie wins with dignity he’ll have earned some begrudging respect from his detractors. If he comes up short he can still save face by being humble in his post-fight interview. Dana loves guys who deal with their anger problems, especially if they’re good for business.
