Karo Parisyan vs. Dong Hyun Kim

After millions of fans writing in to see Karo Parisyan on the main card we finally get to see the “Heat” back in action. A loss to Thiago Alves and a boring fighting style have derailed the career of young Karo but he’s got plenty of talent to mount a comeback.

Despite his less than stellar physique Karo is still a force to be reckoned with in the welterweight division. He’s known for not taking his training seriously as he should (see Penn, BJ) and needs a camp that will push him to be the best he can be. Having a guy like Randy Couture in your corner is a good move to solving that problem of his.

Dong Hyun Kim put on a decent performance against a feisty Matt Brown in his last fight. Like Parisyan, he doesn’t appear to have a lot of finishing skills. This fight is destined to go to a decision, which makes me wonder why it’s on the main card. Nonetheless, both of these guys would do well to try something new in this fight, although that’s not too likely to happen.

As for a winner, Parisyan will take this one because he’s had more experience winning decisions in the UFC.
