Krzysztof Soszynski vs. Brian Stann

During his stint on the Ultimate Fighter 8, Krzysztof Soszynski showcased his fondness for juvenile pranks. At some point he did manage to prove he could fight. His only real weakness was his ground game. However it took a world-class grappler to exploit said weakness.

Brain Stann is not a world-class grappler. He is the former light heavyweight champion of the WEC. Being in that organization was a great opportunity for someone with very little MMA experience to make a big difference. Steve Cantwell, a young fighter himself, humbled Stann by taking his championship shortly before the promotion ditched the 205 weight class.

Odds are both Soszynski and Stann will look to keep the fight standing. Although, given Krzysztof’s association with team Quest he may want to use some wrestling to surprise Stann. Either way, neither fighter has very technical stand-up, which should make for a fun brawl.

I pick Soszynski to win because he’s the more experienced fighter. Stann has a lot of heart but he’ll probably wind up on the prelims before he gets another main card outing.
