Mike Swick vs. Dan Hardy

Believe it or not, this is a #1 contenders match.

Mike Swick has had a successful run in the welterweight division. He deserves to be one win away from a title shot. As for Dan Hardy, he'll have to lop Swick's head off to look like a credible threat to GSP's title.

On paper, this looks like a good match-up for Swick. Mike has only had trouble with strong wrestlers. Dan Hardy does not fit that profile. Hardy is a good striker. Swick is a better striker. I see Mike Swick winning this fight. Though, he'll need a Frank Mir-sized horseshoe to beat Georges St. Pierre.
