Tyson Griffin vs. Rafael Dos Anjos

Tyson Griffin was on track for a lightweight title shot before he ran into Sean Sherk. The problem for Griffin was that Sherk was a slightly better version of himself. Plus, Sherk is known for his incredible conditioning…among other things. At any rate, Rafael Dos Anjos shouldn’t pose too much of a problem.

Griffin will have to be careful of Rafael's submissions though. All that disciplined Randy Couture training should come in handy.

Without a doubt, Dos Anjos’s only chance is if Griffin makes a mistake by leaving a limb hanging out. Anywhere else the fight goes, it’s Griffin all the way.

Tyson should have slightly better hands. He should also have a significant edge in wrestling and conditioning. Both Griffin and Dos Anjos will be motivated to put on a good showing to get themselves noticed on the long lightweight ladder.

However we’ve seen nothing that says Rafael Dos Anjos can ever crack the top 10, which is why Griffin deserves to be the heavy favorite.
